Brid nominates Richard Boyd Barrett for Taoiseach on her maiden speech in the Dail. While his nomination had no chance of success, nor did anyone else’s and the AAA/PBP were making the point that the radical left had as much right to stand for Taoiseach as anyone else.

Protest Against Water Charges Thursday 1pm
Following last week’s election successes for anti-water charges candidates we urge all our supporters to come to this important protest while the new Dail meets. We successfully made water charges the defining issue of the election so much so that prospective Government parties are discussing its abolition but we will only achieve this if we keep up the protests from below.
