JOBPATH IS AN ABUSIVE RIP-OFF. As a private company it’s given public money for thwarting the lives of people looking for work. I had the opportunity to question witnesses at a Dáil committee reviewing an investigation of Jobpath and it was infuriating. CHANGES NEEDED TO JOBSEEKER’S ALLOWANCE! Apart from being too little, the supplementry allowance where someone has part-time hours, is paid on the basis of days worked, not income received. And it’s stopped after a year! Bríd challenged Minister Doherty about this in the Dáil.
